5th Avenue Pep store robbed

The victim and two other cashiers were in the shop when five men entered the shop and two of them pretended to buy clothes.

The 5th Avenue Pep store was robbed of R46 800 last Friday afternoon.

One of the cashiers told the other cashiers she suspected they want to rob the shop and she wanted to take the money out of the till to put it in the safe.

As the suspect was supposed to take out his money to pay for the clothes, he took out a pistol and pointed it at the cashiers.

He then jumped over the counter and told them to go to the office.

The other suspect took out a pistol as well, while the other suspects were inside the shop.

The suspect asked the cashier for the keys to the safe and another cashier opened the safe and gave the money to the suspect.

The suspects took cellphones and money out of the tills as well.

Before fleeing the scene, the suspects tied all the cashiers up with cable ties.

The cameras inside the shop were in working condition, but the suspects tore them off and took the footage with him.
