A driver had a nightmare trip on the N12 Etwatwa Highway last Friday evening.
The driver stopped to offload the people he had given a lift to, when two suspects appeared from nowhere and demanded the car key.
The driver and the suspects struggled over the key.
During the struggle the driver was shot in the leg.

At that moment another vehicle stopped on the scene.
The second driver tried to help the first driver who was being attacked.
The second driver was shot in the stomach and his two passengers were allegedly raped by the suspects.
All the victims were taken to hospital.
