Motorists urged to register for licence collection update

The Department of Transport has launched an SMS line where motorists can send a message to find out about the status of their driver’s licence.

This comes after the strike at a production company, where licences are produced, resulted in lengthy delays for drivers waiting for their new licences.

Drivers must send a message to 33214 with their ID number to find out about the status of their licence.

They will be informed via SMS when their driver’s licence is ready for collection.
