The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs hosted their 28th Annual Day with The Elderly Parents on Sunday.
The Bhairavi Sungum of Springs hosted their 28th Annual Day with The Elderly Parents on Sunday.
This event was well attended with over 140 senior citizens of diverse backgrounds who made their way to the Bakerton Community Hall.
The day’s programme began with a scrumptious lunch and dessert followed by tea and cakes.
There was plenty of entertainment, competitions, songs, dances and prizes won by those eager and brave.

The day successfully ended with the presentation of gifts to all the elderly parents.
“The Sungum thanks all that assisted and contributed towards this annual event on their calendar, a day well spent,” says chairperson Poovershree Pillay.
A special presentation was made to the oldest female attendee, Dano Ragaloo (89) and male attendee Johannes Phage (86), who thoroughly enjoyed the day and look forward to next year’s one.
