The Best Beard in Town competition kicked off last week and the first entries are in.
Following the success of the 2017 beard competition run in The Springs Advertiser, we are once again looking for Springs’ best beard.
The competition runs from November 1 until close of business (5pm) on November 30 so you still have ample time to cultivate the winning beard.
We are still gathering prizes and hope to announce a grand prize soon, we have some beard products sponsored by Andrew Geral of Black Beard.
The rules are simple:
• The competition is open to anyone who works or lives in Springs or KwaThema.
• Grow a beard.
• If you already have a beard – now’s the time to make it shine.
• It can be any shape or length, we just want to see what your follicles can do.
• Once you think you have what it takes to impress, send a photo (minimum of 1mb JPEG) of yourself showing off your beard to editor Samantha Keogh at samk@caxton.co.za with your name, the area you live in and your contact number. Photos which are not large enough will not be entered and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The competition closes at 5pm on November 30.
• Photos of all the beards will go up on www.springsadvertiser.co.za on December 1 and our readers will vote for their favourite beards.
• Voting closes at 5pm on December 7 and the winner will be announced in our edition of December 13.
