A body was found in the Everest Informal Settlement at the mine dump on Saturday morning.
The victim was an African male of an undetermined age.

It appeared as though the victim was murdered and burned where he was found.
Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says people in the area were questioned and no one heard or saw anything.
