Political party Cope welcomes the withdrawal of charges against the former head of Hawks, Anwar Dramat, and Gauteng Hawks head Shadrack Sibiya.

“We maintained the charges against Dramat and Sibiya were part and parcel of Jacob Zuma’s mission of capturing the Hawks.

“We knew Dramat was in the way of Zuma and the Guptas and that is why after firing Dramat, Zuma appointed a notoriously dishonest, lacking integrity and dishonourable Berning Ntlemeza to do all his dirty work.

“It is extremely sad that Zuma was determined to destroy many good men and women in the country,” says Cope national spokesperson Dennis Bloem.
