The Springs Library is still closed, much to the frustration of residents.
The metro had initially stated that the library would be closed until August 31 for the installation of new air-conditioning units.
However, until Monday, the library was still closed.

“I went there and they first said it was going to be open on September 13, and that changed to the 17th.
“It is still closed and I’m going stir-crazy because it’s been six weeks now and I can’t get any books out,” says library user Ina Groebler.
The metro failed to respond in time for publication, so it is unclear how long the library will remain closed.
