The suspects of the internet fraud upload advertisements on the internet claiming to have goods on sale at a bargain price.

After having contacted them they advise the customer to pay the amount in various untraceable ways such as money market.

The suspects ensure that they tell them to do the transaction as soon as possible as there are many interested buyers who could beat them to it.

The suspects then give the customer an address where they should collect the item after sending the money and giving them the information they need to withdraw it.

Thereafter the suspects will disappear, their phones will be inactive and the address where the customer was told to collect their item will not exist.

In more severe cases the customer will go to the address where they will be put in harm’s way.
