Strubenvale Primary initiative will benefit school

John Dory's gives helping hand.

Strubenvale Primary is pleased to announce that they have started a partnership that will benefit the school and community at large.

The school intends on revamping their premises and uplifting the general overall educational experience for the learners by getting new library books, textbooks, overhead projectors and other necessities.

In order for the school to be able to optimise their facilities and resources, they would need funds.

John Dory’s has decided that they will work with Strubenvale Primary in efforts to give back to the community.

They have agreed that they will give back 10 per cent of certain foods that are not on special to the school.

They have also agreed that they would have a Strubenvale box in their store that customers can place their receipts in and from those receipts the restaurant will give back 10 per cent on all purchases.

It was also discussed that if the school brings learners to eat there they would also receive that 10 per cent to allow them an opportunity to raise as much funds as possible.

Tony Ramos, who is the school’s principal, says the manager and owner of the restaurant have said they would like to give the funds raised back to the school on a monthly basis.

Ramos says he looks forward to the partnership and that it will do all the parties involved a lot of good.

The person who does the website for the school was the one who organised the partnership when he was at the restaurant one day and organised for the relevant parties to meet.

He has also asked for the community’s support in this initiative and that you don’t forget to place your slip in the Strubenvale Primary box at the counter.
