Casseldale CPSF go out of their way to help the homeless

The Casseldale Community Police Sub Forum (CPSF) handed out soup and bread to the homeless in Springs on Saturday.

For the past three weeks, the Casseldale CPSF has been handing out soup and bread in certain areas in the Springs CBD and Casseldale.

The group starts off at 5pm near a well-known fast food restaurant in Springs CBD.

From there they head through Springs CBD, making a few stops where homeless people are getting ready to spend the night after which they proceed to a few Casseldale spots where they are aware of homeless people sleeping on the street.

They do this every Saturday.

The CPSF group says they get donations for the bread and soup which they use to hand out to the less privileged.

A problem the group is facing, as seen on Saturday, is that some of the people who received bread and soup come back, asking for more.

This causes them to run low on food when they head to their next few stops, where people most likely also ask for more.
