Man stabbed in arm during Selection Park robbery

Man opens his eyes to two suspects looming over him in his bedroom during a robbery in Nigel Road, Selection Park last Wednesday at 7.30pm.

The 37-year-old man was sleeping in his upstairs bedroom when he heard a sound and opened his eyes to find the suspects standing near his bed.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, spokesperson for the Springs police says one of the suspects was pointing a knife at the man.

“They demanded money, the car keys and his cellphone.”

The suspects tied the man’s hands and feet and instructed him to sleep, with his face down.

One of the suspects was wearing gloves and the other wore the victim’s socks over his hands.

The victim was stabbed in his left arm. The suspect allegedly used the victim’s own table knife.

A case of house robbery was opened at the Springs Police Station.
