Mothers and daughters bond over a cup of tea

The Dutch Reformed Church in Casseldale hosted a Mother’s Day tea on Saturday.

Susan Roos from the church says it was a day to celebrate mother-daughter relationships.

She also officially launched her career as a life coach at the event.

Joey Lane attended the event and entertained the guests with gospel songs.

Mothers and daughters of all ages attended the day and spent special quality time together.

Roos says her aim is to bring ‘the word’ to the people and help with broken relationships.

Nita Lombaard (45) from Springs spent the day with her two daughters, Linette (22) and Lititia (18).

“This is a very special day for us and we have good reason to celebrate,” she says.

Her youngest daughter, Lititia, was diagnosed with thyroid lymphoma cancer last year.

“About three weeks ago, on April 26, we discovered she is clear of cancer,” she says.

“We are very blessed to be here today.”
