Springs woman and son (8) escape robbery through window, husband shot

A man helped his wife and eight-year-old son escape through a window to get help when armed robbers entered their home in Selection Park on Monday at 3.50am.

The 33-year-old woman woke to the sound of a window breaking and went to see what is happening.

When she moved the curtain, she saw a suspect pointing a firearm at her.

Captain Johannes Ramphora, spokesperson for the Springs police says the woman then ran to her eight-year-old son’s bedroom where she found another suspect gaining entry and who also pointed a firearm at her.
