Man claims to have spotted UFO in Springs – three times

Springs man claims to have spotted a UFO hovering over Strubenvale, twice in one week.

Strubenvale couple Jan and Denise Brand have spotted an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO), twice in one week now.

“The first one we saw last Wednesday and the other was on Sunday night between 8.30pm and 9.15pm.

“They looked very different.

“The one from last week had white sharp lights and the one on Sunday night had red and green lights,” says Jan.

When the couple first spotted the UFO last week, they thought it could have been a star, but Sunday night’s sighting proved it was not a star.

Luckily for the couple, the UFO spotted on Sunday night lingered long enough for Jan to make a sketch of it and see it clearly from his binoculars.

Jan describes the UFO as being at least 30 metres wide and at least 15 km high into the air.

There was no sound coming from the UFO, and Jan describes a very calm feeling, almost at peace as he looked at the UFO.

It was purely by chance that the couple spotted the UFO as Denise was only in the kitchen to get a glass of water and looked through the window.

This was not the couple’s first time seeing a UFO.

The first one they saw was in 1981 along the N12 as they drove back from Benoni and the second time was last month in Springs.

“The two we saw this week, were far away but it was a clear night so it was possible for us to see it clearly.

“I know there are UFOs, there’s no doubt in my mind.

“What they are doing here, I don’t know.

“They could be exploring or gathering knowledge,” says Jan.
