• Springs Tamil Association invites all devotees to participate in the festival of Chitrai Paravam Kavady at the Sitthi Vinayagar Alayam at 3 13th Crescent, Bakerton on Friday at 10am and Bala Murugan Poojay on Saturday at 10am. Hawan and Abishegam will be performed by the children. Thereafter, all devotees carrying Kavady will partake in Abishegam for their Kavadies. The main day event will be on Sunday starting at 9am. Three-koppie group hike of up to 10 km through the Melville Koppies. Sets off 8.30am sharp. Park, meet and pay in the upper car park at Marks Park, Judith Rd, Emmarentia, opposite our entrance.
