A group of friends was having a get-together at a residence in Edelweiss on Saturday when two suspects stormed the lapa and held them at gunpoint at around 10.30pm.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, spokesperson of the Springs police, says the suspects pushed the three men and two women into the house and ordered them to lie on the floor.
“The suspects tied all the men with their shoelaces and started ransacking the house,” he says.
Among the stolen items were a firearm with two full magazines and a full box of ammunition, four TV sets, a hi-fi music set, six cellphones and keys to a BMW which was parked in the yard.

All items were valued at R500 000.
No injuries were sustained and a case of house robbery was opened at the Springs Police Station.
