Foundation aims to restore hope to the youth

Tshepo Mmolawa and Elias Makwela are taking to the streets to help restore hope for young people.

Founder of Tshepo Mmolawa Foundation, Tshepo, says there is a great need for the youth to get off the streets and discover the purpose of their lives.

“We deal with a lot of people who find themselves in prostitution and drugs, and sometimes homeless because of bad decisions.

“Our aim is to shine a beacon of hope, and let them know that they can rebuild their lives.”

Tshepo has partnered with Elias Makwela to host ‘Our identity in Christ’.

“We are trying to give them a chance through support and mentorship.

“In some instances we go as far as helping to reunite them with their families,” adds Elias.

They say that the event is not only for Christians.

“We really want to extend our invitation to everyone: believers and nonbelievers.

“Our belief is that everyone is here, on earth, for a purpose and that is what we want to help you discover.”

They say despite having only female speakers on the programme, the event is not a women’s conference.

“We really want men, from all walks of life, to come out in their numbers as well.

“These are social issues that need our maximum participation from all of us,” adds Tshepo.

Among the speakers of the day will be the popular motivator Apostle Ruth Zulu.

The event will take place on Saturday at Phelang School at 10.30am.
