Learner wins R5 000 for road safety campaign at Rainbow Education Centre

A lucky learner at Rainbow Education Centre has won a top prize as part of a road safety campaign.

Siphesihle Motha (6) has won R5 000 for his knowledge of road safety.

The learner at Rainbow Education Centre entered the competition on a national radio station and sang a song demonstrating his knowledge of what to do before you cross the road.

The road safety campaign was run by Active Education as part of the scholar safety program.

Learners at Rainbow Education Centre were thrilled to have Active Education visit their school and enthusiastically participated in the campaign.

Motha’s parents have generously donated the prize to the school.

“This is your gift.

“I know your teachers will use it well.

“The lessons that you’ve learned today, take them to heart, even when you’re older it will help you,” says Mimi Nzima, Motha’s mother.
