Springs teenager needs your support for sanitary products and Deskbags project

Local teen aims to help the less fortunate.

Gabriella Cameron is raising funds to purchase packs of sanitary products as well as Deskbags for learners in under-privileged communities.

A Deskbag is a portable desk that is made out of recyclable material and is waterproof.

The Deskbag allows children to carry their books and stationery as well as have a solid surface to write on simply by opening the bag.

Gabriella aims to raise R8 100, which would enable her to distribute 50 packs of mini pads as well as 30 Deskbags.

“My goal is to double this figure, and with your help I can achieve this,” says Gabriella.

The 15-year-old from Springs is passionate about charity work and wants to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

Gabriella is also a finalist in the Miss Junior SA pageant.

“I am asking the people of Springs to help me with my charity projects and fund-raising”, she says.

People can make a donation towards these projects, or companies can get involved as part of their corporate social responsibility initiatives by purchasing a number of Deskbags or sponsoring a larger sum of money towards the purchase of mini pads.
