Domestic worker surprised by robbers in Casseldale

Domestic worker ran when two men entered the front door.

A domestic worker was ambushed by two males while washing clothes at a residence in Casseldale on February 6 at around 1.30pm.

While doing the washing, the domestic worker heard the gate opening and went to investigate.

Capt Johannes Ramphora spokesperson of the Springs police says when she went out, she saw two males already inside who allegedly told her they were there to fix the gate.

“After some time, they pushed open the front door and entered the house.”

The worker ran out of the kitchen door.

“A security company arrived on the scene and the domestic worker noticed that the TV and a tablet were missing from the residence.”

The suspects were using two unknown vehicles.

A case of house robbery was opened at the police station.
