Staff members from a local pharmaceutical company have donated school supplies to disadvantaged learners from Payneville Primary School.
The donation was done on Thursday afternoon.
Ten learners were selected by the school to receive school supplies.
The learners ranged from Grade One to Three and was a mixture of boys and girls.

“We wanted to do something for the community.
“A local lady who lives nearby told us about this school.
“We saw that there were children who didn’t have anything and we wanted to help because we are privileged enough to do so,” says staff member Margaret Dada.
The school supplies donation drive was only the beginning of this business’ charitable activities for this year.
“We have decided to start an Adopt a School campaign and Payneville Primary School is the school we have adopted.
“We will have a sanitary pads drive next month.
“There will be a drop-off box at the entrance of our store where people can donate sanitary pads if they want to support us,” says manager Thuli Manana.
Staff at Payneville Primary School were ecstatic to receive such support.
“I’m so happy.
“I appreciate everything because our children really need this.
“They come from disadvantaged families and something like this really makes a difference,” says Mubi Rapetswa, head of the foundation phase department.
