Casseldale Community Policing Sub Forum host water donation project

Casseldale Policing Sub Forum bring some relief to the residents of the Western Cape.

The Casseldale Community Policing Sub Forum has collected 3 000 litres of water to donate to the elderly, animals and schools of the Western Cape.

This forms part of their drought relief efforts to help those in the drought-stricken province.

The project has been going on for two weeks and will continue until February 11.

“We just saw a need and we wanted to help out.

“The water will be going to elderly people, animals, as well as schools in the Western Cape.

“The response from people has been wonderful.

“Last weekend, we got 1 550 litres and we got another 1 500 this weekend.

“If people cannot donate water, they can also donate empty containers which we will fill up,” says organiser Lizelle Nel.

People can donate water from 8am until 3pm on Saturday and Sunday on February 10 and 11.
