Selection Park restaurant robbed after hours

Six suspects stormed a restaurant in Selection Park and tied up the owner.

A restaurant in Springs West Road, Selection Park was robbed by six suspects on Sunday morning around 2am.

“Two of the suspects gained entry through the roof of the admin office while three others broke through the window, and one suspect was armed,” says Amanda Greybe, spokesperson for the Springs Police.

The suspects allegedly tied up the owner and busied themselves with taking three flat-screen TVs.

“While the suspects were doing this, the alarms in the building went off.”

According to Greybe, the suspects ran to the back of the shop where they exited.

“They jumped over the fence and went over the railway line and fled the scene.”

A local security company arrived at the scene and untied the owner.

No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
