Believing in Potters Haven’s children

A Christmas Market was held at the Springs Mall on Saturday where various stall holders displayed their crafts.

One such stall was manned by Cheryl Havenga from the Rotary Club of Springs, who was raising funds for The Potters Haven.

“Potters Haven has 19 children, all from abusive backgrounds and one has just finished matric,” she says.

The aim of raising the funds is to make Christmas as special as they can for the children.

“We are also trying to send the matriculant to beauty school, but the beauty course costs R36 000 for two years, which is also part of our aim to raise the necessary funds towards her studies.

“Everyone deserves a future and we want to give them the best possible one,” says Cheryl.
