Metro can’t keep up with repair of Slovo Park robots

Metro regularly repair robots in Slovo Park.

The metro commented on a complaint about the traffic lights on the corner of Welgedacht Road and Libya Street, Slovo Park which are not working.

Metro spokesperson, Themba Gadebe, says the traffic lights are constantly knocked down and repaired every week.

“No vandalism has recently taken place, but the poles are knocked down in accidents,” he says.

According to Ward 72 Clr Ramesh Sheodin the traffic lights at the intersection in Slovo Park are knocked down nearly every month on weekends.

“The municipality always seems to repair them within a few days, but the very next weekend they are knocked down again,” says Sheodin.
