Construction company hosts Party for Hope

Proceeds raised at the Party for Hope were handed over to the Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer foundation.

Employees from a local construction company in First Street in the CBD, recently held a Party for Hope to raise awareness about and funds for children with life-threatening diseases.

Junior human resource officer Aadilah Adam says this was part of their employee wellness programme.

“We contacted the Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer foundation, who sent us a party package,” she says.

The package consisted of balloons, brochures, badges and cupcake holders.

“We chose this foundation because we fully support the way in which they create awareness and support children who are suffering from cancer and other life threatening diseases,” says Adam.

She went on to say a few of the female employees had volunteered to bake cupcakes which were sold to employees.

All the funds raised during the sale were donated to the foundation.

The foundation is a non-profit and public benefit organisation whose aim is to raise awareness and funds for families in need of medical assistance through the love of baking.

They have helped over 500 patients with their medical aid and day-to-day expenses.

“We would like to thank all our employees for their generous support,” says Adam.
