It’s time for Mo Bros and Mo Sistas (as they are affectionately known) to start conversations and raise funds to create awareness of prostate cancer and help men live happy, healthier, longer lives.
While the idea behind Movember is for Mo Bros to shave off their facial hair and start with a clean canvas on November 1, in an effort to grow the perfect mo(ustache), we understand that not every face was built for a tash.
You can’t all be Magnum PI and we understand.
But, to ensure that every bro has a chance to show off his facial hair in support prostate cancer awareness, the Addie will launch our “Finest Beard” competition on November 1.
The rules are simple:
• You need a beard – so if you’ve already got it, flaunt it.
• If you haven’t got the stuff just yet, don’t worry, we are giving you a little time to join the brothers in beards.
• Send us a photo of your beard between November 1 and 17. You can also include a video motivation explaining why yours is the beard to beat.
• The competition is open to anyone living or working in Springs.
• All photos will be published online at www.springsadvertiser.co.za from November 18 and in the Advertiser on November 23 and our readers will have a chance to vote for the winning beard.
• Voting will be done online by adding the name of your favourite bearded Sprinsite in the comments section of the story,
• Voting closes at 10am on November 27 and the winner will be announced in the Springs Advertiser on November 30.
