Ex-JJ pupil Top Youth Executive of the Year finalist

This year marks the 15th crystal anniversary of the annual National Business Awards 2017 that will take place at Emperors Palace on November 16.

Frans Niebuhr, a former Dr Johan Jurgens High School pupil, was recently chosen as a finalist in the National Business Awards 2017.

This 28-year-old Nigel resident was nominated by management of a Nigel based stainless steel company for his exemplary performance, financial structures and prudent policies.

He was chosen as a finalist in the category ‘Top Youth Executive of the Year’ in the National Business Awards 2017 and will be competing against seven other finalists representing their respective businesses.

Niebuhr says the company was recently identified as one of the qualifying businesses in South Africa, and was asked to nominate people within the company who meet the criteria as stipulated in their guidelines.

Management nominated a few people, but Niebuhr was fortunate to be the one who made it to the final round of the awards.

“It is indeed an honour to be nominated for such an award,” says Niebuhr.

It would be unfair to claim the success as my own as the only way a business can be a success is if there is teamwork and a mutual goal for all to reach,” he says.

He is grateful to all his co-workers for their assistance and co-operation in making this business the success it is.

Niebuhr is a financial manager and bookkeeper. He was nominated for his hard work and commitment to ensuring the business’ financial stability and growth over the past few years.

According to marketing and events director, Karla Fletcher, the judges were very impressed by the quality of entries. Separating winners from finalists will not be an easy task for them.

“Every business has a core vision they pursue, whether it is to be an innovator, a game changer, a job creator or an inspiring mentor and leader.

“The market place should know that all our finalists have been astutely researched and have shown to be the best in their field,” says Fletcher.

Office manager David Niebuhr says through their recognition by the National Business Awards, past award winners and finalists have ignited the ambition of peers in their sector to pursue a similar high standard and Niebuhr aims to do the same.

The awards ceremony will take place at Emperors Palace on November 16.
