Veritas College food and fun fair a success

To celebrate its 25th anniversary this year, Veritas College held its annual Food & Fun Fair on September 30.

Veritas College wrapped up another successful year at its Food and Fun Fair and its 25th birthday celebration on September 30.

“It was a fantastic and lovely day with lots of parents and children,” says Nina Raouna

The celebration which lasted until the evening was a great time for parents to relax and socialise as their children and teachers from the school participated and enjoyed the bustling music, electrifying dances and exciting games.

Children who attended the fair took part in various types of entertainment, relished some delicious food and many other attractions on offer.

A wide range of food stalls showcased some delicious dishes from Portugal, India, South Africa, America, Greece, China, Mexico, Germany and Italy.

Parents and teachers were seen enjoying cheerful conversations in the tea garden while nibbling on sumptuous treats that were on sale.

The gladiator ramp, soccer, bull-bucking ride as well as different types of jumping castles were some of the activities that kept the children entertained throughout the fun day.

“I would like to thank all the teachers and parents who made this day a success.

“We also thank our learners who attended our food and fun fair because without them we wouldn’t have enjoyed ourselves.

“This day exceeded our expectations because we were really worried about the weather but it turned out just fine,” says Raouna.
