Correctional supervision for kidnapper

Kidnapper receives correctional supervision and suspended sentence.

Sentence was recently handed down to Delisile Thwala in the Springs Regional Court for kidnapping.

He was found guilty and sentenced to three years correctional supervision and a further three years suspended for five years.

Thwala, a Langaville Extension Three resident, kidnapped an 11-year-old girl on October 28, 2016.

SAPS spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says they arrested Thwala on July 4.

Thwala will be under correctional supervision, which is a one year community-based sentence under the control and supervision of correctional officials.
