A grey Mitsubishi Colt was recently hijacked in More Street, Pomolo Section in KwaThema at 6.44pm.
The vehicle belongs to a Selcourt resident who was with his friend at the time of the hijacking.
Capt Johannes Ramphora, SAPS spokesperson, says the owner alleges they parked the vehicle on the pavement when they were approached by two armed suspects.
Ramphora says the suspects pointed their guns at the two men inside the vehicle.
“Both men were dragged from the vehicle and the suspects searched each man,” he says.
After the suspects took the victims’ two cellphones, they got into the Colt and drove off leaving the two men stranded.
Police are investigating a case of hijacking.
