New development agreements not finalised
Metro not in position to comment on new development.
In response to a query about the Daggafontein Project planned at Edelweiss Extension Three, and featured in last week’s Addie on Page Three, the metro commented as follows:
The Daggafontein development is a mixed housing project.
“The project is at the feasibility stage, phase one is almost ready to commence upon finalisation of contracts,” says Themba Gadebe, metro spokesperson.
The respective project agreement still needs to be finalised between the developer, the Gauteng Department of Human Settlements and the metro.
He says the metro is therefore not in a position to comment as yet, based on the respective project agreement.
“Once the agreements have been finalised, the developer will answer all questions through the metro and we will then be able to report back to the media,” says Gadebe.
