Woman’s Day aerobics marathon fun with Body Quest

Body Quest Gym in Springs held its second annual Woman's Day aerobics marathon on Wednesday.

The Body Quest woman’s aerobics marathon, which was held to promote a healthy lifestyle and teach new, fun ways of working out, attracted approximately 50 fitness enthusiasts who participated in various high impact exercises.

Event organiser Susan Vermaak together with her colleagues say they were very pleased with the turnout, and that the event had been a huge success.

“I’m very happy and proud that there were even men to support us.”

“I will do it again if that’s what it takes to show that we as women have rights, are powerful and are strong,” says Vermaak.

Led by aerobics trainer Daniel Tlhaole, the participants enjoyed exercises which included HI-LO, step aerobics, body con and cater box.

In addition, the event featured a prize giving ceremony, where the top ten participants won t-shirts for their efforts throughout the marathon.

Vermaak says she would like to thank her co-workers for their love, support and hard work they put in to make the event a great success.

Maria Fort gave it her all during the marathon.
