Suspects flee with stolen goods

Suspects run away when security company arrives on scene.

On Sunday, two suspects gained entry into a Selcourt house by breaking the sliding door.

The incident took place at 2am, in Grungberger Street.

“They threatened the domestic worker with knives and screwdrivers,” says Capt Johannes Ramphora, SAPS spokesperson.

Money and laptops were what the suspects were looking for.

Ramphora says the domestic worker told the suspects they would find money and laptops in the living room.

The owner of the house managed to call a security company, which arrived shortly thereafter.

“When the suspects noticed the security they ran away,” says Ramphora.

Three bicycles, a toolbox, safety boots, a TV set and a sensor beam were taken by the suspects.
