Police searching for four armed men and stolen goods

Four men forced their way into a residential home, held owner at gun point and walked away with valuables worth R54 000.

The police are searching for four men who broke into a house in Pietersfield Ext on Thursday evening.

It is alleged that the victim had just arrived home when the armed men came out of nowhere.

Springs police spokesperson Captain Johannes Ramphora says the victim arrived home and parked his vehicle in his driveway.

“He then went to close his residential gate when he was greeted by four suspects who forced their way into the premises.

“They took him to the garage and one of the suspects hit him over the head with a fire arm.

“They then attempted to tie his hands with cable ties but failed and opted for the other three suspects to guard him while one of them went inside the house.

“They took the victim into the house where they again attempted to tie his hands with a tape but this too didn’t work,” says Ramphora.

He says the suspects took a LG TV, Iphones, and kick up cellphone and R4 000 in cash.

“The total value of the stolen goods are R54 000,” he says.
