Motorists smile due to metro’s road construction

Daggafontein businessman is impressed with the metro.

Motorists driving along Asbestos Road, Daggafontein, will benefit from the road upgrade recently done by the metro.

About 100m of the road was completely resurfaced.

Businessman Jannie Christie (74) cannot thank the metro enough for fixing the road.

When he called metro’s urban management about four weeks ago, he was not a happy man.

But the metro proved to be on top of their game when they arrived to fix the road shortly after Christie reported the matter.

“The road had to be resurfaced due to all the potholes, it was almost non-existent,” he says.

Christie was impressed with the metro for completing the job in about a week.

“All motorists will benefit from the newly tarred road,” he says.

He said people always complain about the metro and focus on all the negative things in Springs.

The metro’s quick reaction to his query has changed his outlook.

“All the business owners in the street are grateful for the work done by the metro,” says Christie.
