Armed robbers shoot victim in the foot

Police are still looking for the suspect who is responsible.

Four armed suspects are still at large after shooting a business owner in the foot.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says the victim was inside a shop in Medley Road, Strubenvale at 5pm, when four armed men entered last Wednesday.

The victim (42) claims one of the suspects called “Madala come” followed by two shots.

Ramphora says the victim didn’t see which one of the suspects fired the shot.

After the shooting the suspects fled the scene.

“When we arrived we found the shop owner who sustained slight injuries to his foot,” says Ramphora.

Police are investigating a case of attempted murder.
