Suspects surprised a victim in bed at his house in Grootberg Street, Eastvale, on Wednesday morning.
The man was asleep in his bedroom at 3.30am when a suspect entered with a torch and a knife.
The armed suspect allegedly then called an accomplice and asked for a firearm.
SAPS spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora says a second suspect entered the bedroom and he was armed with a firearm.
“One suspect stayed next to the victim while the other one searched the bedroom,” he says.
The suspects took two cellphones and clothing and fled the scene.
No shots were fired.
The SAPS is investigating a case of house robbery.
