Palmietkuilen public meeting
Interested parties and residents of Aston Lake are encouraged to attend this meeting.
A public meeting on the final Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report submission for the proposed Palmietkuilen Coal Mining will be held at Stable Inn, Strubenvale on Saturday.
The meeting will start at 10am in the marque hall.
The Digby Wells Environmental team invite the community to attend the feedback on the EIA.
The coal mining project (a proposed opencast coal mine) is planned to start near Aston Lake soon.
As a request for an additional extension for public consultation and review has been refused by the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR), the public meeting will be held outside the commenting period.
Comments provided during this meeting will be sent to the DMR separately as agreed with the authority.
