While on duty, a security guard was approached by three suspects, one armed with a firearm, at 10pm, on Sunday.
Springs police spokesman, Capt Johannes Ramphora, says the guard was tied up with cable ties along with four other employees.

The suspects allegedly tried to start a white Hyundai truck parked outside the guard hut.
“An undisclosed amount of bags of cement was loaded onto the truck and the suspects opened the gate with a remote they took from the guard and only left the premises at 1am on Monday,” says Ramphora.
The victims managed to untie themselves and reported the break-in to the owner of the company.
Ramphora says the owner says a battery worth R1 000 was also taken by the suspects.
