According to SAPS spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora the police arrived on the scene at 5.40am, where they found the body of the driver next to his taxi.
“The deceased had been stabbed in the back 13 times inside his taxi.

“We found traces of blood on the front seat of the taxi and on the tar where the body was found,” says Ramphora.
Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services paramedics were called to the scene who declared the man dead.
The reason for the killing is unknown.
