Although the police started looking for the body on Saturday, they had to postpone the search due to difficult terrain and the darkness.
According to SAPS spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora the deceased’s friend informed the police about the body lying in a field at Grootvlei Mine.

“We found the deceased’s body at 12.30pm, and paramedics declared the man dead on the scene,“ says Ramphora.
Police suspect the deceased was shot by armed men during an armed robbery reported at 10.40pm, on Saturday.
Ramphora says the deceased was shot twice in the upper body.

SAPS are investigating a case of murder.
