Saartjie van Vuuren says they knit and make all sorts of creative goods.
“We have regular classes where we learn something new, such as making clay beads for necklaces or clay handles around teaspoons,” she says.
“This is a great way for the group to learn new things which may help them if they feel the need to sell some of their creations.”
New people who have joined the group all have something new to teach the women, such as creating a CD photo frame or making bath bombs, as well as creating pieces with mosaic.
The classes are free and open to anyone in the community who wants to learn new things.
“We don’t just knit; we make all sorts of creative things. So if anyone has any new ideas, we welcome the opportunity to learn more,” says Saartjie.
