Robbers take cellphones and cigarettes

Five robbers wearing balaclavas targeted a well-known store at Selcourt Towers at 4.30am, on Saturday.

They got away with five cellphones and cigarettes.

Capt Johannes Ramphora, the SAPS spokesman, says the robbers gained entry by forcing the glass door open.

Two of the five suspects were armed with firearms but according to Ramphora, none of the night shift employees were injured.

The suspects fled the scene on foot.
