The suspects entered the shop at 10am, overpowered the two owners and stole stole R45 000 in cash in Third Street.
Springs police spokesman Capt Johannes Ramphora says the two owners were assaulted by the group of suspects and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to an eyewitness, a white bakkie was seen passing the shop several times before 10am.
“Because it looked suspicious, the eyewitness took down the vehicle registration number, which will help the police in our investigation,” says Ramphora.
