Victor Sithole was shot dead by an unknown assailant in Hexrivier Street, in Eastvale, on Saturday.
Sithole (age unknown) was shot in the chest four times.
Capt Johannes Ramphora, Springs police spokesman, says according to an eyewitness, Fortune Mphhofu, Sithole stopped in front of a gate in Hexrivier Street at 9pm.
“She claims they noticed a man talking to the deceased and then heard four gunshots,” he says.

When the deceased’s wife went looking for him, she found him lying next to his vehicle with four bullet wounds to his chest.
Ramphora says the woman called for help and some of the residents came to try and assist her.
Paramedics declared Sithole dead on the scene.
The body was taken to the mortuary, in Geduld.

“The motive for the murder is unknown and we are investigating the case,” says Ramphora.
