Bianca’s farm school outreach

Bianca Bernie, Mrs Africa finalist, recently visited the Arbor Primary School in Delmas as part of the Dignity Dreams project.

She says 200 children benefited from the outreach, which included DeskBags.

Bianca says DeskBags were given to Grade Six and Seven boys and girls.

“These DeskBags allow the child to carry his or her schoolbooks and stationery safely to and from school, while the reinforced flap becomes an instant, durable desk when unfolded,” she says.

Distributing washable sanitary towels is one of Bianca’s Mrs Africa projects.

“Grade Six and Seven girls benefited from the sanitary towels bags,” says Bianca.

It was a joint venture between Pastor Mazote Msipha and Bianca, who are both sponsored by the Ebuhleni Foundation in Botleng, Delmas.

“It is a very successful project,” says Mazote.

She says they explained to the girls that the sanitary towels are reusable once washed.

Both Mazote and Bianca say it was amazing to see the smiles of appreciation and the dancing performed by the learners.
