Father Christmas’ early arrival

San van Wyk, the woman behind Jesus Outreach Feeding Scheme, donated food and gifts to 32 children at Morester Primary School last Thursday.

She was accompanied by Olga Magagula, who dressed up as Father Christmas to help handing out the gifts as well as past Ben Loubser,

Ben is the pastor from the Jesus is Light Church who assists the feeding scheme project.

San says in January they will be involved at the church for 13 years.

A project she cherishes and enjoys thoroughly.

“We received donations from several sponsors and without them this feeding scheme would not be possible,” says San.

They feed the school children daily with the assistance of Priscilla Sisulu and one or two teachers.

“We know each child and their circumstances very well,” she says.

The children enjoyed chicken and rice for lunch as well as ice-cream for dessert.

Olga dressed up as Father Christmas, much to the enjoyment of the children.

San and Olga handed out a gift to each child to take home.

“We appreciate the food and the gifts every year,” she says.
