Hospital makes a much needed furniture donation

SAPS Social Crime Prevention have turned their office into a child-friendly environment.

This comes after they received donations of furniture from Netcare N17 Hospital manager Andries Joubert, on Wednesday.

Andries saw the need for furniture on social media and he remembered the boardroom table and six chairs they have in store.

“To add to the table and chairs, we also bought two plastic children’s tables and eight chairs, crayons and colour-in books,” he says.

Yolanda Cothill, of the SAPS unit, was overwhelmed by the hospital’s donation.

She says they work with families and children and this contribution has most certainly changed their office into a child-friendly environment.

“This donation will most certainly make our job much easier when we have children to talk to,” she adds.

Yolanda and Amanda Greybe regularly conduct checks at local schools for drugs, as well as dangerous weapons, with the assistance of Henry Harper from Wild Wild

Guardians, Barries Barnard from Hi5Kids Recovery Unit and the EMPD.

“We appreciate the support from the hospital,” she says.
